The QA department is making sure that your games are top quality and passing submissions safely since 2005. It currently numbers more than 50 employees and is driven by our passion for games and professionalism.

Hardware & Security

We offer our clients a solid hardware base for fully testing their products, made up of RVT-H and RVT-R test kits for Nintendo Wii products, DS (1st and 2nd generation) and DSi kits plus Nitro Capture and Burning hardware for Nintendo DS products, and all the required console and PC testing hardware (backed up by FullHD tv & monitor support) for the other platforms.

To provide optimum security and confidentiality for our clients, the network services are secured using Cisco and 3COM networking hardware. High speed is ensured by using Gigabit compatible hardware, and we also offer our clients a very fast FTP service and a secure Bugzilla installation for bug tracking functionality, both hosted on private servers. Further security measures include monitored and logged internal traffic, video camera surveillance and key card access to the testing lab.

A special mention must be made for Apple products, as we offer testing fully compliant with Apple’s guidelines for their entire range of devices (iPhone standard, 3G, 3GS and iPod touch 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation) and we have so far had all our tested products pass Apple’s submission process first hand.

Functionality Testing

We’re highly experienced in both PC & console functional testing (Nintendo Wii & DS, PSP, Xbox & Xbox 360, PS2 & PS3, iPhone, with a very high 1st submission pass rate at Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony and Apple). NDAs are signed with all of these corporations.

Since 2005 we have successfully shipped more than 100 titles that have been tested on the functionality side. For 2009 alone we have completed work on 40+ FQA and 25+ CQA projects, having tested both casual and complex games (Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East, Risen, Tom Clancy’s HAWX, Cursed Mountain and Assassin's Creed 2 are just a few of the most important titles we've worked on so far – for a complete list of projects please click here). 1

We cover any game type in our tests (high budget, casual, port, web/browser based) and we can start work on your project at any stage of its lifecycle, be it alpha, beta, master, patch or even just perform a quick validation walkthrough if needed.

Compliance Testing

Our Compliance services currently include guideline compliance checks for Nintendo products - complete compliance testing services for DS, DSi, DSi Ware, Wii and Wii Ware. Support is provided on all compliance matters for the development team by our specialists, including terminology and marketing guidelines for manuals and submission papers. Starting 2007, our team of specialists have successfully shipped 50 + titles, with an excellent 1st submission pass rate.

We’re always striving to be better and think outside the box by being completely involved in the games we test, into trying to offer the best technical advices but also emphasizing on the quality of game play, how fun the game actually is and how it could be made better, and by making sure our testing process is entirely transparent to our customers, so that they may tailor it to their own needs. We’re highly experienced in both PC & console functional testing (with a high 1st submission pass rate for Nintendo products, both Wii and DS). In the past years, we have tested both casual and complex games. We are also offering compliance testing services, having trained specialists that are performing all required compliance tests on DS and Wii titles and offering support to the development team on all compliance related issues.

Project planning

For every project, the Project Leader will identify the needed skills, estimate the workload implied and suggest a team size according to the client’s project milestones. The Project Leader is also responsible of conceiving a comprehensive test plan (if this isn’t supplied by the client), and of gather all the required documents related to the project (such as design documents or other informations that are relevant to the testing process).

The Compliance Specialists will be directly communicating with your team for any needed information.

Bug Reporting

Our testers will report bugs on the spot. Each bug will be thoroughly tested until it is completely isolated (the steps to reproduce and the reproducibility rate are accurately determined). Bug reports will contain all the information needed for identifying, fixing and tracking each issue.
We can use the client’s database for bug reporting (so far we’ve worked extensively on Jira, TRAC, Mantis and Bugzilla), offer our own private Bugzilla installation or the bugs can be delivered in Excel format.

Fares/Policy

Being flexible, the costs and scheduling are tailored to fit the specific needs of our clients. We are committed to deliver top quality, to help reducing your production costs and to enhance your customers’ gaming experience.

We can charge either the actual time spent testing or go for a flat cost based on time estimates. We offer special prices for long-term projects.

For cost related inquiries and references, please use the form on the contact page – an offer will be especially conceived for you, based on the complexity of your project, duration, hardware needs and any other specific details.
